Thanks Nokia Malaysia for letting us be a bunch of the ealiest people in the country to own the Nokia X6.
It was at the recent Comes With Music bloggers session that we got introduced to the upcoming service and got our hands on the X6 each.
At the event, Nokia actually presented to us their music devices roadmap and how it all led to the born of the latest in the line, the Nokia X6.
Some of the more notable features/specs of the device:
# Capacitive touch screen
# Size: 3.2?
# Resolution: 640 x 360 pixels (nHD)
# 3.5 mm Nokia AV connector for audio and TV-out
# Small DC jack
# 32 GB internal memory
# 3.5g, WIFI
This is how the packaging looks like. Typical Nokia design. Easily recognised.
The device comes along with the superb Nokia WH500 foldable stereo headphones.
So how much better is it compared to its sibling, the Nokia 5800? Well its very solid and doesnt produce any creaks when squeezed. The capacitive touch screen gives an impression that the OS is not sluggish (although its still kinda slow in transitions for some screens.. which is still acceptable).
The speaker is super loud, on par with the Nokia 5800 and the N96. Located at the right side of the phone, Nokia hopes that it will let us experience stereo sounds when we watch videos holding the phone horizontally. One thing lacking is the stand. Coming from a Nokia 5800 and N97 user, I’m used to placing the phone on the table with a stand or a slide out keyboard for watching videos but not possible for the X6.
The camera is good! Comparable with the N97 and the N85. The X6 is very good at taking macro/close up shots.
More detailed review will be done soon, so for now, check out this video I recorded of the Nokia X6.
Price of the Nokia X6 is still unknown as it is not launched in the market yet. Will update you guys once I get the news.
