Seems like Apple is really baking their iOS devices well to take on the world again when the next iPhone and iPad launch.
According to AppleInsider, the next generation iPhone and iPad will sport a new version of Apple’s A4 chip with dual core graphics which will naturally support retina display on iPad and also 1080p HD on both iOS devices including the apple TV.
Apple’s next custom System on a Chip is expected to be the new SGX543 graphics and video core, which is said to offer around twice the processing power at the same clock speed. The speed boost not only applies to graphics but video and high quality Facetime video call as well.
Other than graphics, Apple will reportedly be using the multiple core ARM Cortex-A9 for general purpose processing.
Let’s wait and see if any new updates arise in the upcoming months.
