This is Sony Ericsson Xperia ARC hands-on part 2.
You can read part 1 here.
Here’s a side by side size comparison with the iPhone 4. The ARC seems taller than the iPhone 4 due to the bigger screen (4.2″ Reality Display) and as thin as the center of the phone can be, both edges of the phone are actually the same thickness as the Apple device.
Here’s another angle showing how thin the ARC is. One thing that I don’t like about the ARC is the camera button. It’s too small and too close to the side of the phone. This causes the user to hold the phone only with 2 fingers on the right side when taking photos/videos. Very dangerous. A light push can actually case the fingers to slip and drop the ARC.
Since this set I tried was still an early prototype, the 8megapixel camera wasn’t working well therefore I couldnt test the Exmor-R sensor which is supposed to enhance low light photography.
Part 3 coming up! Check out this video demo of the HDMI output for the ARC which mirrors the screen for games, camera and other interface.
