Sony Announces 2 Android Honeycomb Tablets [video]

We’ve been expecting you, Sony tablets. Now that you are official, let’s check you out.

So the big guys in Japan just announced 2 tablets, the S1 and S2. The first one is a 9.4inch device with a folded top design just like a cloth/magazine with front and back facing cameras.

The S1 features a Tegra 2 SoC and customized “Quick and Smooth” touch panel UI with “Swift” web browser.

The second tablet, the S2 is a dual screen device, foldable and features a 5.5inch screen on each panel. It has 1,024 x 480 pixel resolution, Tegra 2 SoC, and camera.

With the clamshell design, Sony wants to target it as an e-book device since it mimics the feel of a book/magazine.

Both S1 and S2 are Playstation Certified, which means users will be able to play games tailored for the system. Both have Wifi and 3g/4g versions.
