Samsung has just announced the Galaxy S III mini, a 4-inch little brother of the current flagship, Galaxy S III.
The device runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), has a 4.0-inch Super AMOLED display, and features like S Voice, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Smart Alert, and S Beam.
According to JK Shin, President and Head of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics;
The GALAXY S III introduced a new concept of smartphone that has proven hugely popular around the world. We’re now delighted to bring its revolutionary design, intuitive usability and intelligence to the GALAXY S III mini in a more compact form.
The S III mini has a dual-core 1GHz chip, 1,500mAh battery, 1GB RAM, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage and supports microSD up to 32GB.
The differences between this device and the bigger brother is the back camera, front camera and screen size. The back camera now has a 5 megapixel sensor and front camera is VGA resolution (640×480)
