Google Releases ‘Google Keep’, A Note Taking App For Android [Video]

Now that all the buzz about Google closing down Google Reader has calmed, let’s check out this new service by Google called ‘Google Keep’.

Quickly capture what’s on your mind and recall it easily wherever you are. Create a checklist, enter a voice note or snap a photo and annotate it. Everything you add is instantly available on all your devices – desktop and mobile.

It is basically an app that lets you jot down notes, build check lists or even capture voice and photo to compliment your notes so you can remember things you need to do or just ideas for an upcoming party.

The app comes with widgets! You can pick from 2 available widgets (available after installing Google Keep) to quickly launch the app to jot down an idea. For Jellybean 4.2.2, you can even add the widget onto your lockscreen.

Since Google Keep is syned to your Google account, you can access your keep on the desktop as well. Just go to drive.google.com/keep.

Now the question is… how long will Google keep Google Keep?
