Nokia Launches The Lumia 930 And This Is Why You Should Care [Video]

Just recently at Microsoft’s Build event, Nokia announces 3 new devices, the Lumia 930, 630 and 635. The 930 is their current flagship phone and packs the latest hardware and software which is set to be made available in June this year.

Here are the specs:
– Main camera sensor: 20 MP, PureView
– Display size: 5″
– Display resolution: Full HD (1920 x 1080)
– Processor name: Qualcomm Snapdragon™ 800 Quad Core 2.2Ghz
– Maximum talk time (3G): 15.5h
– Battery capacity: 2420mAh
– Wireless charging: Built-in (Qi standard)

The Lumia 930 runs the latest Windows Phone 8.1 that brings a lot of new features and improvements that elevates the device to be on par with the latest Android and iOS devices. New features include:

Action Center

If you’ve missed a phone call, been mentioned in a Tweet, or received an SMS, you’ll now find all of these things in one place – the new Action Center.
Alongside your notifications, Action Center contains four quick settings (which are customisable) to enable you quicker access to switch on Flight Mode, and Wi-Fi, for example, even when your phone is locked.

Word Flow

Instead of typing out each letter when your type, now glide your finger over the screen and let your Nokia Lumia accurately predict what you’re going to type.
The more you use Word Flow, the more it learns from you, predicting your most frequent expressions. Word Flow supports 16 languages.

Cortana, the personal assistant

Your Nokia Lumia will become a personal, pro-active assistant; capable of answering many of those burning questions you ask yourself everyday.
Cortana will be rolled out in stages starting in the US and later to other regions.

Packed with sensors that will accurately read more of your day-to-day activities, you’ll be able to find out how many steps you take, how fast you run and where you mostly spend your time (if you didn’t already know). Not only this, but it uses a smidgeon of power doing so, thus preserving your battery.

Now of course, the highlight of the Lumia 930 is the 20MP Pureview camera with built-in antishake for photos without shake and great low light capabilities.

Rolling out globally in June – beginning in Europe, Asia, India and Middle East – the Nokia Lumia 930 will be available from $599 before taxes and subsidies.
