Below are photos of the front panels for the black and white models of the 4.7″ iPhone 6. From these, we can roughly see how big the new screen is compared for the 4″ iPhone 5s.
One thing to note is that the glass is curved/tapered towards the bottom, suggesting that the iPhone 6 will indeed have rounded corners. Bloomberg was the first to report that Apple’s next iPhone would launch with displays that curved downward in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch sizes.
The leaked panels also shows the white front panel camera hole above the earpiece, similar to the iPhone 5/5s, however the black panel has the camera hole to the left of the earpiece similar to the iPhone 4/4s. One of the holes could also be for a proximity sensor of some sort.
Today another report claimed that the leaks we have seen only offer a ‘rough’ idea of what the iPhone 6 will look like. It went on to claim that the final design has a curved display near the edges creating a seamless transition from the aluminum to the display as well as modified antenna breaks on the rear casing
The iPhone 6 is expected to be unveiled this fall with in both 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screen sizes, however the 5.5-inch model may receive exclusive features such as optical image stabilization and 128GB of storage. The device is rumored to feature a 1704 x 960 resolution display, A8 processor, an improved camera, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and more.
