Samsung Announces The Galaxy Note 4, Note Edge, Gear S and Gear VR at IFA, Berlin [Video]

Just hours ago at IFA Berlin, Samsung announces it’s latest Galaxy Note 4 along with 3 other devices. One is a new Note 4 variant with curved edge screen, a curved display smartwatch and a virtual reality headgear.

Galaxy Note 4

The Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440) Super AMOLED display and has an improved multi-window capability. Users can choose how they access their applications with full, split or pop-up screens, and easily change the size and positioning of apps on the screen with one intuitive swipe.

The Note 4 also sports a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera featuring a Smart Optical Image Stabilizer which helps in producing shake-free photos and better low light shots. In addition, a 3.7 megapixel front-facing camera with f1.9 offers a default 90 degree shooting angle and is capable of taking 120 degree panorama selfie.

Just like the S5, this new Note devices comes with a fingerprint scanner as well.

Galaxy Note Edge

The Note Edge has the exact same hardware as the Note 4 but provides users with a new way to access information. The Galaxy Note Edge’s curved Edge screen provides quick access to frequently used apps, alerts and device functionality – even when the cover is closed – all with the swipe of a thumb. Users can also receive notifications directly on the Edge Screen while watching videos without disturbing their viewing.

Gear S

The Samsung Gear S features a 2-inch curved Super AMOLED display and allows users to read messages and notifications at a single glance with features such as conversation view and condensed font.

The smartwatch includes 3G functions as well with a slot for a simcard and comes with Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. With the ability to run without a smartphone, the Samsung Gear S can seamlessly make and receive calls directly or get calls forwarded from the smartphone.

Gear VR

The Samsung Gear VR enables users to fully immerse themselves in a cinematic virtual reality environment. Powered by Oculus technology, the Samsung Gear VR display is actually a 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display of the Galaxy Note 4.
With the Gear VR Innovator Edition, users can sit in the best seat of a theater, can be on-stage of a performance with full 360 3D video, and can enjoy gaming like it’s never been seen before.
