Xiaomi launches Redmi 3 Pro with fingerprint sensor and costs less than you’d expect

We all know that Xiaomi is well known in producing smartphones that are packed with features and yet doesn’t burn a hole in your pocket. Their latest device is exactly that and more.

The company has announced the Pro version of the recent Redmi 3, adding a fingerprint sensor to the back of the device. It will only cost 899 Yuan (about RM560).

Apart from the fingerprint sensor, the Redmi 3 Pro sports a 5-inch 720p display, 64-bit Snapdragon 616 1.5GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (with MicroSD expansion), dual-SIM support, 4100mAh battery, and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

To photo enthusiasts, the Redmi 3 Pro also comes with a 13-megapixel PDAF camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens and a 5MP front camera for all your selfie needs. The interface will look very familiar to Xiaomi fans as it is powered by MIUI 7.

The phone will go on sale in China starting 6th April 2016. I’m sure you know where to get it in Malaysia. 🙂
